The Helite trigger system uses a screw in CO2 canister - this is a proven and safe system. The canister must be screwed in tightly; under no circumstances should the screw thread be visible. The bottom plug must also be fully engaged - an allen key and instruction booklet is supplied with the jacket to enable this.

Canister Safety Checks
- The Helite gas canisters do not have an expiry date but we do recommend you check and weigh them regularly; we recommend annually at a minimum.
- Any signs of rust or deterioration dispose of it immediately.
- The gas canister should not vary from the above weight of chart more than +/- 3g, if it does dispose of it immediately.
- We also recommend changing the canister every three years even if it meets the required maintenance checks.
